Dr. Khalfayan is an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine, who the region’s professional athletes trust and rely on. He has been an orthopedic team physician for the Seattle Seahawks since 1996 and for the Seattle Mariners since 2006. Dr. Khalfayan is one of two orthopedic surgeons in the US who are head team physicians for both an NFL and an MLB team.

Dr. Khalfayan’s extensive experience with football and baseball injuries provides him with unique skills and knowledge that he uses in his private practice. He takes care of more professional athletes than any other orthopedist in the Northwest and provides the same level of care to his patients.

Dr. Khalfayan’s expertise is in: Arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle; anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction; arthroscopic rotator cuff and labral repair of the shoulder; ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction of the elbow (Tommy John surgery) and Platelet Rich Plasma injections.

I wanted to take a few minutes and thank Dr. Khalfayan for his support with my son Nic. He was drafted on Tuesday! I know, for a fact, that it would not have been possible without Dr. Khalfayan operating on his shoulder. His reputation and expertise as an arthroscopic surgeon was evident when the medical records were reviewed, and key in Nic’s advancement as a healthy baseball player. My son Nathan is a patient of Dr. Khalfayan. Nate has no pain from his elbow or the screw. He throwing consistently in the low 90’s now and hit 93mph a few weeks ago. Thanks for all your efforts. He didn’t think he would ever pitch again. So you kept his dreams alive!

I saw on the website that Dr. Khalfayan was one of the Seahawks docs so I figured he had to be good. Well I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I was able to get right in. The MRI showed I needed my knee done. Had to repair the ligaments. I went to the surgery center and everything went fine, a lot faster than I thought. Well, I’m home and back to work. I’m still doing my exercises they gave me, but feeling really good. I was just as important as a football player.
