Swedish Orthopedic Institute Ranked #1 in Washington for Orthopedic Surgery 2017
Swedish Medical Center’s Swedish Orthopedic Institute, home of OPA Ortho, was one of the first facilities dedicated to orthopedics in the Pacific Northwest, now ranked No. 1 for major orthopedic surgery and No. 3 for joint replacement in 2017.
The hospital is staffed by more than 80 orthopedic surgeons pioneering joint replacement procedures at four campuses across the state, and 30 of those surgeons are physicians from Orthopedic Physician Associates! Surgeons at the high-volume Swedish Orthopedic Institute perform more than 5,000 procedures annually, including more than 1,000 knee replacements. National rating organizations have taken notice of the hospital’s quality of care, including CareChex, which ranked Swedish Medical Center No. 1 in Washington for major orthopedic surgery and No. 3 for joint replacements.
They are also listed in Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the top 100 orthopedic programs in the country. To develop this list, the Becker’s Healthcare editorial team examined several rankings and awards for excellence in orthopedic care, including U.S. News & World Report rankings for adult and pediatric orthopedic care, CareChex rankings and Blue Distinction Center designation in addition to the organization’s reputation for orthopedic care.
